On the occasion of Common Wealth Games,
“My Dream Sport” – School children are invited to think of how the “sport of their dream” will contribute in building a Healthier community & then translate such a dream onto a drawing paper. Teachers are also welcome to participate.
Theme: The theme of the Arts competition is “ My Dream Sport ”. If you are a child aged between 5 - 17, you are invited to think of how Sport of your dream will contribute to build a Healthier community & then depict such a dream onto a drawing paper. Teachers are also welcome to participate.
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Participants must be between 5 – 17 years of age.
(ii) Participants must be bonafide students of the school they participate through.
(iii) The competition is open to all school children.
(iv) Participant could also be a foreign national.
Guidelines for Entries:
(i) School can submit the best drawing/painting in categories mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for individuals with special needs:
(i) Mentally Challenged participants must be between 5 – 20 years of age.
(ii) Physically challenged and hearing impaired participants must be between 5-17 years
(iii) Participants must be bona fide students of the school they participate through.
(iv) The competition is open to all special needs individuals studying in special schools and regular schools.
(v) Participant could also be a foreign national.
Special Schools will submit the best drawing/painting for mentally challenged in categories mentioned below:

(ii) Format of the entry: Paper (Any size)
(iii) Participants are free to use a drawing medium of their choice (pencil, colors, papers, crayons, ink, etc.).
(iv) Each entry should be original, entirely done individually & should not have been previously submitted to any other competition or exhibited in any other forum.
(v) Drawing may have a caption, but should the caption not exceed 2 lines & must be written in English/ Hindi.
(vi) The entries should not be mounted or framed.
(vii) The entry form (attached) should be filled up & completed in Hindi/English, or be accompanied by a translation in Hindi/English.
(viii) A maximum of two entries per category per school shall be entertained. Any entries beyond the specified limit shall be disqualified.
(ix) DO NOT PASTE: Attach a copy of the form with the painting sheet, complete the form in your own hand writing along with signature of the Principal/authorized signatory of the school with school stamp when submitting the drawing/painting.
(x) All entrants not complying with the rules will be disqualified. The organizer’s decision shall be final and binding.
(xi) The organizers shall not be responsible for any loss/damage of an entry during transit.

Adjudication:
The submissions will be judged on the basis of
1. Originality & creativity.
2. Relevance to the competition through email.
IMP: By entering this competition entrants will be deemed to have read these rules and agree to be bound by them. Organizer reserves the right to vary, cancel or modify
the competition or its terms and conditions in whole or part at any time.
Selection processes: A Panel of judges shall select the three most outstanding drawings/paintings submitted for each above mentioned group.
Closing Date: Entry should be mailed or submitted to the shOObh Collection Centers by 15 August 2010.
Prize & Certificate of Merit: Three selected finalists in each category will receive a Medal & Certificate of Merit.
Award ceremony: The winners will be announced/awarded on 5th September, 2010.
Exhibition of Winning Entries: Grade-A entries shall be displayed at exhibition(s) to be held during CWG-2010.
Handling of the Entries & Intellectual Property: Entries will not be returned. All entries shall remain the property & copyright of shOObh Group & could be used or
reproduced by the shOObh Group for public education & awareness activities & any other purpose as deemed appropriate by the shOObh board.
